Honolulu, Hawaiʻi – Today, Elect Democratic Women, the congressional member-led political action committee dedicated to increasing the number of Democratic women in Congress and higher office, announced its endorsement of Jill Tokuda for Hawaiʻi’s Second Congressional District.
“Elect Democratic Women is proud to endorse Jill Tokuda and her candidacy to represent the people of Hawai’i’s Second Congressional District. Over the course of her career in both the public and private sectors, Jill has been a consistent and strong voice for women and families. She has what it takes to be an effective leader for Hawaiʻi in Washington, and we are excited to support her!” said Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL), Chair of Elect Democratic Women.
“I’m honored to receive the endorsement and support of Elect Democratic Women. As a mother, an advocate and small business owner, I’m running to ensure that the voices of our local families are represented in Washington. We need leaders with experience and a proven record of getting things done for our communities and I hope to be that leader for the people of Hawaiʻi.”
Elect Democratic Women was formed in 2018 by Democratic members of Congress with the purpose of electing more Democratic women to Congress.
